Helen Aguirre Ferré

Helen Aguirre Ferré is a veteran bilingual journalist, communications leader, and Administrator for Government and Public Policy at Florida International University’s Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom. A prominent voice in English- and Spanish-language media, she comes from the family behind Diario Las Américas, co-founded by her father, Horacio Aguirre, in 1953. Her distinguished career spans journalism and public service, including serving as White House Director of Media Affairs. In 2016, she was inducted into the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame.
