About The Guest

Rey Anthony

Rey Anthony is a Miami native and longtime public affairs professional who currently serves as Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill for Congressman Carlos A. Giménez. A Florida International University (FIU) graduate and third-generation Cuban American, Rey became involved in politics as a young man and has built a career spanning government, communications, campaigns, and public policy.

Shaped by his family’s experience with communism in Cuba, Rey has become a passionate voice in the fight against socialism and communism and in defending the freedoms his grandparents came to America seeking. His story reflects the impact young people can have when they choose to get involved, find their voice, and take an active role in shaping their communities and country.

For Rey Anthony, Cuban coffee is more than a favorite drink—it’s a taste of home and a tradition woven into Miami’s Cuban-American culture. Strong, sweet, and served in a small cup, el cafecito cubano is meant to be shared, bringing people together for conversation, connection, and community multiple times a day. For Rey, a favorite place to enjoy it is Versailles Restaurant in Miami, where Cuban coffee has long been part of the experience at its iconic “ventanita,” or little window, where patrons place their order.
