Austin, Texas — Today, The LIBRE Initiative, a group committed to empowering the Hispanic community, endorsed Adam Hinojosa for the Texas State Senate and Marc LaHood for the Texas State House of Representatives.
In addition to running digital ads, The LIBRE Initiative will mobilize its expansive network of activists, volunteers, and staff in support of Hinojosa and LaHood.
Jorge Martinez, director of coalitions, issued the following statement in support of Hinojosa and LaHood:
“For most Texans, including Texas’ Hispanic community, two issues stand out as some of the most pressing: the need to secure our border and ensuring that Texas’ families can exercise choice in deciding where to send their children to school.
Adam Hinojosa and Marc LaHood are strong proponents of educational freedom and the need to secure the border. This is why we must elect Adam and Mark to serve in the Texas Legislature.
Over the past few months, we have seen concerted efforts to block Texas families from exercising educational freedom and securing our border. If we want to change the status quo, we must elect policy champions who will fight for freedom-minded solutions in Austin.
We look forward to mobilizing our staff and volunteers to ensure Adam and Marc win their elections.”
