Judy Pino runs the national grassroots marketing strategy at Stand Together for The LIBRE Initiative and its state chapters. She is an award-winning journalist with over 20 years of experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors.  Judy first joined LIBRE from 2012-2017 as Communications and Marketing Director. Prior to rejoining LIBRE in 2023, Judy directed marketing and press operations for the public litigation firm, New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA).

Judy has appeared in both English and Spanish-language top-tier media outlets and publications including Fox, MSNBC, CNN, Miami Herald, Univision, and Telemundo. She is a sought-after speaker on brand marketing and serves as advisor and bilingual spokesperson on Hispanic issues for the Independent Women’s Forum (IWF).

Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Judy immigrated with her family to Miami, Florida as a child. She began working in television at the age of 17 as the host of By Kids For Kids, a talk show addressing issues affecting teens for the local ABC affiliate WPLG-10. Judy has worked as assignment editor, print journalist, TV reporter and producer, and eventually became the youngest news director in Miami. She went on to anchor the news at WJAN-41 AmericaTeve and received “The Communicator Award” for her reporting from Guantanamo Military Base in Cuba. 

Judy served in government as Hispanic Media Liaison at the Pentagon for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and as Executive Producer at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Washington DC, where she won an “Aurora” and a “Telly” for two environmental film documentaries produced and directed by her. She is also a recipient of the EPA Gold Medal of Excellence.

She is a graduate from the University of Miami with a B.S. degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science and has a Master’s in Marketing degree from Florida International University.
