Jeffrey Baldwin was born on the Pacific coast of Guatemala. At 14, Jeffrey immigrated to the United States to escape the corruption, poverty, and hopelessness of the Guatemalan Civil War and socialism.

He earned his B.A. in Business Administration and Management Information Systems at East Carolina University while working full-time for a non-profit law firm where he served as the organization’s statewide bankruptcy administrator.  He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Universidad Francisco Marroquín (UFM), Guatemala, a Master of Management from Tulane University, New Orleans, a Master of Political Economy from OMMA Business School Madrid, Spain, and a Master of Economics from UFM, Guatemala.

Jeffrey is passionate about advancing the principles of individual freedom, property rights, limited government, and free markets for the US Hispanic community. He focuses on educating the community about the long-term effects of public policy so that people can be independent intellectual critics.

Jeffrey currently serves as the Director of The LIBRE Institute and resides in Charlotte. He is an avid sailboat racer, skydiver, and volcano climber.
