Arlington, Virginia — (9/3/2024) Today, The LIBRE Initiative (LIBRE) launched a new round of video ads as part of its NoBidenomics.com campaign holding U.S. Senators accountable for supporting policies that have resulted in soaring inflation and a high cost of living. The video titled “La Familia” The Family shows the trade-offs millions of Hispanic families are having to make to afford the most basic necessities.
The ads target Senators Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Bob Casey (D-PA), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Jon Tester (D-MT), and Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) for their long record of supporting inflationary spending and regulatory policies.
Latinos are not happy with the general direction of our country according to a poll conducted by LIBRE’s sister organization, The LIBRE Institute. Other findings of the poll reveal that 88% of Hispanics think the American Dream will be harder for the next generation to achieve— 8% higher than last year. Additionally, 72% of Hispanic voters say the country is on the wrong track and 49% of Hispanic voters agree they are worse off than four years ago.
Jose Mallea, CEO of The LIBRE Initiative, issued the following statement:
“Latino communities continue to face significant struggles with affordability in housing, groceries, and the overall cost of living. The rising costs are a burden many families cannot bear, making a secure and prosperous future challenging.
We need to create economic policies that not only foster growth but also ensure that all communities, including Latinos, have the opportunity to thrive. It’s time for meaningful change that addresses these affordability challenges head-on, providing relief and opportunity for every family.”
