Enrique Romero is our Grassroots Engagement Director in El Paso, TX. He is very passionate about helping the Hispanic community reach a better state not just in his community but the country. Enrique is a proud Mexican American, born in El Paso, TX and raised in both El Paso & Cd. Juarez. He is an only child and the son of Enrique and Margarita Romero. He is a very family-oriented man and loves spending time and having fun with all his family, including his loyal German shepherd, Solash. Some of his hobbies are going to the gym, fishing, camping, hiking, going to the movies, reading, and traveling.
Enrique has over 7 years’ experience in Community & Government relations and the non-profit sector. He has gotten to work with different politicians as a canvasser and intern during his college years. Enrique has always been very active within his community through volunteerism and past employers. Through his journey, he has successfully worked and collaborated with the Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso, the office of the mayor, and various other community organizations during his time with the United Way of El Paso County. His work is a testament to his life-long passion of uplifting the Latino and Hispanic communities.
Enrique holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from the University of Texas at El Paso and is fully Bilingual. He plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in International Relations in the near future.
