The LIBRE Initiative, the nation’s largest center-right Latino organization, today reaffirmed its endorsement of John James for Governor of Michigan, citing his commitment to lowering costs, expanding opportunity, and removing barriers that prevent Michigan families from achieving the American Dream.
As families across Michigan continue to face rising costs for housing, energy, groceries, and other everyday necessities, LIBRE says Michigan needs a governor focused on making it easier for families and businesses to thrive.
Ricardo Castro, Strategic Director for The LIBRE Initiative, issued the following statement:
“Michigan families are working hard, but too many are finding that their paychecks do not go as far as they used to. They need leaders who understand that government should be removing barriers to opportunity not creating more of them.
LIBRE is proud to endorse John James because he understands what Michigan families are facing and has a vision for an economy where people can work hard, build businesses, raise their families, and pursue the American Dream.
For Latino families in Michigan, affordability and economic opportunity are not abstract political issues – they are everyday concerns. Families want lower costs, good-paying jobs, affordable energy, and the freedom to build a better future for themselves and their children.
John James understands that Michigan’s future depends on empowering people, not expanding government. LIBRE will continue engaging Latino voters across the state and connecting them with leaders and policies that expand opportunity, remove barriers, and help every family have the freedom to build the life they want.”
LIBRE will continue its grassroots engagement across Michigan, connecting with Latino voters and communities on the issues that matter most to families, including the cost of living, economic opportunity, energy affordability, education, and removing barriers to the American Dream.
