LIBRE Applauds U.S. House Passage of Tax Relief That Empowers Latino Entrepreneurs and Workers

May 22, 2025

Arlington, VA (5/22/25) — Today, The LIBRE Initiative praised the U.S. House of Representatives for approving a tax package that protects low rates and supports small business growth—especially within the Latino community, one of the fastest-growing and most entrepreneurial demographics in the country.

Daniel Garza, President of The LIBRE Initiative, released the following statement:

“We applaud the House for advancing the extension of Trump tax cuts of 2017 in order to promote growth, innovation, and opportunity. Latino families and business owners stand to benefit from a stronger, more accessible economic environment—and this vote reflects a commitment to ensuring that success stays within reach. With more Latinos launching businesses and contributing to job creation than ever before, this action will help preserve the momentum they’ve built.

The bill now moves to the U.S. Senate for further consideration. The LIBRE Initiative will continue working to ensure economic policies reflect the strength and contributions of the Latino community.”
