The LIBRE Initiative hosted a Capitol Connect fireside chat with Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01), bringing thousands of Latinos and base constituents for a conversation on issues affecting families and communities across Virginia and the country.
Moderated by Israel Ortega, Coalitions Director at The LIBRE Initiative, the telephone town hall provided constituents with an opportunity to hear directly from Congressman Wittman and engage in a candid discussion on some of the key policy issues facing American families.

The conversation focused on three key areas:
The event was part of The LIBRE Initiative’s broader efforts to strengthen civic engagement and foster meaningful conversations among Hispanic community leaders, grassroots activists, elected officials, and policymakers.
Congressman Rob Wittman, issued the following statement:
Engaging directly with Virginians about the issues that matter most to their families is an important part of serving in Congress. Tonight, we had a productive conversation about lowering costs, supporting working families, expanding access to affordable and reliable energy, and making housing more attainable. I appreciate The LIBRE Initiative for bringing these important conversations directly to the community and giving constituents the opportunity to share their priorities and hear directly from their elected representative.” The conversation also builds on the work of LIBRE, Americans for Prosperity, and Concerned Veterans for America around policies focused on affordability, economic opportunity, and reducing costs for American families.
The LIBRE Initiative remains committed to connecting Latino communities with policymakers and ensuring their voices are part of conversations shaping the future of the country.
