ICYMI: Over 23,000 Ohioans Joined LIBRE’s Hispanic Heritage Tele-Town Hall with Senator Bernie Moreno

October 15, 2026

The LIBRE Initiative, the largest center-right Latino organization in Ohio, hosted a Hispanic Heritage Month tele-town hall with Senator Bernie Moreno on Tuesday evening, October 13, 2026, drawing more than 23,000 Ohioans on the line for a live conversation about the issues facing Latino families across the Buckeye State.

Senator Moreno and participants discussed keeping the American Dream within reach, cutting red tape through permitting reform, and strengthening American energy independence. The conversation reflected the priorities of Ohio families from Cleveland to Cincinnati, who are focused on making ends meet as everyday costs continue to rise. Participants also spoke about the importance of good-paying jobs and a strong economy where hard work is rewarded. For Ohio’s more than 30,000 Latino-owned businesses, a key part of the state’s economy, the discussion underscored the value of fewer barriers to starting and growing a business.

Lair Marin-Marcum, Ohio Strategic Director for The LIBRE Initiative, issued the following statement:

“More than 23,000 Ohioans showed up for this call, and that number tells you something. Hispanic families want the American Dream kept within reach, and they know what moves it closer: cutting the red tape that holds small businesses back, reforming a permitting process that buries good projects in delay, and strengthening American energy so costs stay down and jobs stay here. Senator Moreno came to listen, our community came ready to talk, and that exchange is exactly what LIBRE was built to create.”
