Arlington, VA – (8/20/25)  In a special edition of American Potential, guest host Daniel Garza, President of The LIBRE Initiative, sat down with U.S. Senator Rick Scott for an insightful and inspiring conversation recorded during LIBRE’s annual capitol connect fly-in event at the nation’s capital.

Senator Scott shared his remarkable journey from growing up in public housing to building the largest hospital company in the nation, serving as Florida’s two-term governor, and now representing the state in the U.S. Senate.

During the conversation, Scott reflected on Florida’s economic turnaround under his leadership reversing job losses, cutting fees, and fostering a pro-business environment where entrepreneurs and small businesses could thrive. At the same time, he cautioned that unchecked federal spending poses a serious threat to America’s future prosperity.
