Fernando Gonzales, the Arizona Field Director for The LIBRE Initiative in Tucson. Fernando is a small business owner and his company is considered one of the top ten companies in Tucson. Fernando is the son of first generation immigrant farm workers. Fernando is one of 8 children that traveled between Arizona and California working in the agricultural fields.He has been married for 43 years, has two daughters, and six grandchildren. As a business owner and on a personal level Fernando believes in giving back to the community both by giving of his time and financial contributions. The company and personally has financially supported over fifty non-profit organizations. Fernando's love and passion for people and especially those who are downtrodden has taken him to many of the poorest areas in Mexico. Today he continues to support an orphanage and a ministry that feeds children on a daily basis.
Fernando has volunteered for approximately 40 years and served on many non-profit organization boards and church ministries including on the Board of Governors for the Arizona State Bar and currently sits on the committee for Fitness and Character for the Supreme Court of Arizona.
Prior to becoming a Field Director Fernando worked for The Libre Initiative as a contractor. "The LIBRE Initiative is a Godsend, as it promotes the very ideas that resonate with the Hispanic community", states Fernando.
