Film viewing, Waiting for “Superman” hosted by The Independence Institute, sponsored by The LIBRE Initiative Promoting quality education during National School Choice Week
Denver, CO – The LIBRE Initiative (LIBRE) is partnering with The Independence Institute to provide a Spanish viewing of the documentary film, Waiting for “Superman,” today, Thursday, January 31 at 6:00 pm in Centro San Juan Diego. The film analyzes the American public education system and how it is failing parents and students who are struggling to obtain a quality education.
“Schools are failing to provide Hispanics, the fastest growing demographic, with a quality education. Our children are the future of our country, the workforce of tomorrow, who will require skills and talent to compete in a global economy,” said Michael Barrera, Western Director of The LIBRE Initiative. “Our goal is to inform parents through this powerful film that they do have a choice, and can act to ensure their children receive a quality education.”
The event is free and food will be provided.
