David Velazquez serves as the Senior Advisor to State Operations for The LIBRE Initiative, leveraging his extensive experience and commitment to empower communities. With a rich history of service within The LIBRE Initiative, David has held various pivotal roles, including Executive Director from 2018 to April 2023, East Coast Regional Director, Deputy State Director of Florida for both LIBRE and Americans for Prosperity, and North Florida Field Director, showcasing his dedication to advancing the organization’s mission since joining in 2013. 

Before his career at The LIBRE Initiative, David embarked on a journey of service and education. Following his high school graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he dedicated over three years to defending the nation’s values and freedoms. Subsequently, he pursued higher education, graduating from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Ministries. David brings over a decade of ministry experience to his endeavors, having served as a pastor at several churches in Orlando, Florida. 

Currently residing in Orlando, Florida, with his wife Eunice and two sons, David’s life is driven by a profound passion for Christ, his loved ones, his country, and the empowerment of others to realize their full potential.
