Kendrick Lamar Promotes God, Respect, and Hard Work at 2013 BET Awards Kendrick Lamar is an up and coming rapper straight out of Compton, California.  Last night at the annual Black Entertainment Television Awards he took home the award for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best New Artist and Best Collaboration. When he accepted his award for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Kendrick had an inspiring message for today’s youth – especially the young black and Latino populations.

Latinos in the Spotlight at the Faith & Freedom Coalition Conference

The Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual “Road to Majority” Conference was held in Washington, D.C. this past week covering controversial topics ranging from taxes to immigration. The conference, known for being very popular with social conservatives, was mainly populated with an older crowd. However, there were several pockets of diversity, and in particular there were numerous Latinos in the crowd – and on the stage.
