LIBRE Initiative – FL Applauds Increased Educational Freedom in Florida

Tallahassee, Florida –The LIBRE Initiative – FL, an organization committed to removing internal and external barriers so that the Hispanic community can thrive and prosper, praised the passage of HB 7067, legislation that will expand educational freedom – or the ability for families to customize their child’s education – in the Sunshine State.

Following the passage of HB 7067 in the Florida Legislature, Cesar Grajales, Coalitions Director for The LIBRE Initiative – FL, issued the following statement:

“The Latino community in Florida understands that education is the key to unlocking the American Dream. HB 7067 is a great step forward to ensure that more and more Florida families have the ability to customize their child’s education so that they are able to grow and prosper. Every student in the state should receive an education that works best for them – regardless of where they live and their socioeconomic status. We urge Gov. DeSantis to sign this legislation into law without delay.”

Grajales went on to say:

“We thank every lawmaker who voted for this bill and are especially grateful for the leadership of Senate Education Committee Chair Manny Diaz and House Education Committee Chair Jennifer Sullivan to send this bill to the governer’s desk.”
