LIBRE Commemorates Veterans Day

(Washington, D.C.) – As America commemorates Veterans Day, the staff and volunteers of the LIBRE Initiative join in thanking America's men and women in uniform.

Daniel Garza, Executive Director for The LIBRE Initiative, released the following statement:

"Throughout her history, no other nation in the world has consistently offered people freedom as the United States. The tired and the poor, the afflicted and the downtrodden have come here for freedom of speech, freedom of worship, and freedom to work and succeed. This strong heritage of freedom has been a shining beacon for the world.

And as America has attracted people to her shores, so has it inspired people to defend freedom and countrymen. Millions of Americans, in every generation, have bravely fought to preserve the legacy they received from their parents, and to pass it on down to their children and grandchildren. That is true even today, as American heroes risk their lives in the Middle East and elsewhere, fighting enemies abroad so they do not threaten us at home. Let us today reverently commemorate the sacrifices made over centuries, and still being made today – by those who are truly the finest among us."
