ICYMI: The LIBRE Initiative Hosts Bilingual Digital Townhall on COVID-19’s impact on the Latino Community
(Arlington, VA) – Yesterday, The LIBRE Initiative, an organization dedicated to empowering Hispanics, hosted a digital townhall to discuss COVID-19 and its impact on the Latino community.
Hosted by Daniel Garza, president of The LIBRE Initiative and joined by Kevin Hernandez, policy director for The LIBRE Initiative as well as Ivette Diaz, spokesperson for The LIBRE Initiative, the grassroots organization talked about the unique challenges the Latino community is facing as a result of COVID 19.
The conversation was both in Spanish and English and allowed participants to submit questions to the panel.
The LIBRE Initiative has plans to continue informing the Latino community about best practices to contain this global pandemic and how public policies that are being enacted will impact their daily lives.
