UPDATE: Garza, Skandera Cancel Press Conference
(Santa Fe, NM) – On Thursday night the New Mexico House of Representatives defeated a proposed moratorium on new charter schools in the state, by a tied vote of 34-34. Daniel Garza, President of The LIBRE Initiative, and New Mexico Secretary of Education Hanna Skandera will no longer hold the press conference that had previously been scheduled for this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. MST, at the State Capitol building in Santa Fe.
Daniel Garza, President of The LIBRE Initiative, released the following statement:
