The LIBRE Initiative Announces Bilingual Mailers, Ads Opposing Amendment 73

(DENVER, Colo.) – Today, The LIBRE Initiative announced the release of bilingual mailers and digital display ads in Colorado, urging residents to oppose the proposed Amendment 73, which would increase taxes on Coloradans by $1.6 billion.

Daniel Garza, President of The LIBRE Initiative, released the following statement:

“Latino families across Colorado are eager for economic growth and opportunities, not higher taxes. Amendment 73 promises to raise taxes by $1.6 billion but provides no certainty those funds will go to expanded education opportunities. Instead of raising taxes, legislators should improve educational opportunity by reforming the system. Where additional funding is warranted, lawmakers should focus on ending the wasteful misuse of tax dollars while closing special interest loopholes. This is why we urge Latinos to vote ‘No’ on Amendment 73.
