LIBRE Announces Second National Day of Action

(Washington, D.C.) – Today the LIBRE Initiative announced its second National Day of Action of 2014. Building on the success of last Saturday’s Day of Action, LIBRE volunteers will again go door to door and make phone calls tomorrow, spreading the message of economic freedom and registering the policy concerns of the Latino community. From now through the end of the month of October, every Saturday will be another LIBRE Day of Action. So far this year LIBRE’s team of activists has made hundreds of thousands of phone calls and knocked on tens of thousands of doors.

Daniel Garza, Executive Director of The LIBRE Initiative, released the following statement:

"For Hispanics especially, unemployment rates remain above the national average, and businesses are cutting employee hours – or all too often closing down shop -because of Washington's burdensome regulations. The American Dream seems so unattainable to so many. What's worse, it may be unattainable to the next generation if we don't do something now.

LIBRE believes in the American Dream, we also know the principles that work best to prosper. We cannot face these odds alone. We need your help to keep the dream alive, for ourselves and for our children. We need to take action. Last Saturday, LIBRE activists across the country said YES! to the message of economic freedom and joined our National Day of Action to knock on doors and make calls to thousands of Hispanics who need real hope for a better economic future. Won't you join us?"
