LIBRE 72-Hour Campaign Launches this Weekend

LIBRE 72-Hour Campaign Launches this Weekend

(Washington, D.C.) – Starting this Saturday, LIBRE Initiative activists will launch a 72-hour campaign designed to inform people around the country about issues that affect them, and to encourage them to vote on Election Day. Volunteers and members of the LIBRE team will be making calls and walking door to door in neighborhoods in Colorado, Florida, Texas, and Arizona to inform about the need for policies that decrease wasteful spending and regulation, in order to spur economic growth. The median family income of Hispanic households has actually fallen in recent years as a result of failed big government policies.

Daniel Garza, Executive Director of The LIBRE Initiative released the following statement:

"The Latino community – and the American people in general – have difficult decisions to make about the policies that will bring prosperity in the future. Clearly, the programs being put in place in Washington today – built on ever increasing government intervention into the marketplace, more mandates, and more taxes – are not helping most families become better off. Instead of the dynamic growth America has known in the past, the economy is weak – weighted down by too much government. Latinos recognize how important it is to chart the right course – before today's workers fall even further behind. We know that when we engage – when we educate ourselves on the issues, volunteer in bigger causes, and come out to vote – we can change course, and help build a better future for our children and grandchildren."
