It means customized, affordable health care for every Virginian.”

Background:

The Personal Option Plan is an alternative to a government-run “public option.” The Personal Option pursues 4 basic goals to create universal access to quality and affordable health care: expand access, reduce costs, end surprises, and ensure safety nets. You can read more on the Personal Option Plan here.

  • A majority of Hispanics prefer a personal option to both Medicare For All (59%-41%) and the Public Option (54%-46%).
  • Nearly two-fifths of Hispanics consider the personal cost of health care to be a problem.
  • Hispanics, at a larger percentage than other ethnic groups in the U.S., don’t have a primary care doctor (47% of men, 33% of women).
