ADVISORY: LIBRE to Host Bilingual Digital Townhall on COVID-19 Policies

Arlington, Virginia – In response to the global Coronavirus 19 epidemic, The LIBRE Initiative, an organization committed to empowering the Latino community, announced plans to host an online video townhall to provide the community with digital resources, discuss our policy guidelines for lawmakers, and answer questions about the situation.

Background:
As our nation, and the globe, faces COVID-19, it’s important to hold a conversation on how state and national policymakers should respond to this global epidemic.  Our online townhall will provide the community with digital resources to navigate some of the difficulties arising from the Coronavirus. Our goal is to educate the Latino community on the latest recommendations on how to protect ourselves from the coronavirus, empower one another with helpful resources and guidance, and to clear up misinformation that may be discouraging folks from seeking testing. This will be a bilingual event.
