Ronald Najarro is an award winning journalist who began his career as an unpaid intern for the Univision affiliate KINC in Las Vegas. The creativity and work ethic he displayed earned him a full time position as a video editor, it was an opportunity he took and never looked back. With little notice Ronald packed his bags and relocated to Las Vegas to accept the position. Just one year later, while in college at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), he was promoted to anchor the Sports segment for the 11 o'clock news.
Within months Ronald would move on to Anchor both shows and was eventually promoted to Sports Director. In 2007 he was awarded a regional Emmy for hosting and producing a half hour news special "8 Rounds with Oscar De La Hoya" which aired in several outlets across the country.
Ronald Najarro joins the LIBRE initiative as Press Secretary and regional Spokesperson for the Southwest region and is excited to share in LIBRE's message. A son of immigrants born in El Salvador, Ronald understands the importance of economic freedom. The same principal that made America so great gave his family the vision and courage to leave their native land. Looking for prosperity and fleeing a war torn country his family pressed on and arrived in this county in 1982. At a very young age, Ronald learned the value hard work, and saw firsthand how his family came to this country with nothing, and developed into a family of entrepreneurs who provided a better life for themselves and others.
Ronald was raised in Southern California and received his B.A in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
