With over 10 years of experience in community engagement, Isabel has a proven track record for effectively equipping the Hispanic community in Colorado with resources that promote their success. Isabel was a founding member of the Northern Colorado Latino Chamber of Commerce and spent 9 years in the banking and financial literacy industry where she opened doors for Latino families and business owners to become financially sound. Isabel also served in the administration in Colorado public schools where she furthered her understanding of educational challenges facing many Hispanic families in the state, and her passion to make a difference in that arena.
Most recently, Isabel was on staff at Christian University and its affiliate The Centennial Institute where she filled a number of roles including leading the efforts for Hispanic engagement for the Western Conservative Summit. Isabel’s leadership in the community resulted in the largest attendance of Hispanics at the event on record. Isabel’s passion to invest in Colorado’s Hispanic community has been evident throughout her career and her personal involvements. In 2012, she and her husband Armando founded the Eagle Leadership Academy, a nonprofit dedicated to offering bi-lingual leadership and educational courses that empower Hispanics to achieve their dreams for their families. Isabel and her husband Armando reside in Aurora and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters.
Isabel is currently studying at Colorado Christian University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Organization Leadership with a minor in Communication.
