LIBRE Statement on Memorial Day
The LIBRE Initiative released the following statement to commemorate Memorial Day:
“On this Memorial Day we salute our fallen heroes who have given their lives to protect our ideals of freedom and liberty. At the LIBRE Initiative we also want to recognize all of the Hispanic soldiers who joined the Armed Forces and bravely fought along side their fellow Americans to defend this country. In these times of turmoil on our land and around the world we remember all who have fallen fighting oppression, tyranny, and terrorism. It is our commitment to work every day to ensure that their sacrifice is honored and to spread the ideals they fought to defend. The brave men and women we honor today defended a way of life where all people can determine their own futures and success. We pay our respects to these brave American heroes and their families who are in the ongoing fight for freedom.”
