The LIBRE Initiative Speaks Out on Immigration
(Washington D.C.) – The LIBRE Initiative today released an open letter addressing the recent debate on the nation’s immigration policy. The letter states opposition to proposed changes to the policy of birthright citizenship, and costly mass deportation of those who may have entered the U.S. illegally, but have otherwise been hard working, law-abiding residents. In attempting to tackle the issues with America’s immigration system, some have worsened the prospects for real reform. In the letter below, we hope to move the debate forward in a productive manner and away from those proposals that are not viable and do not represent the views of most Americans.
