The LIBRE Initiative Bilingual Mailers Praise Support for School Choice
(Tallahassee, FL) – Today, The LIBRE Initiative released a group of bilingual mailers to thank members of the Florida Legislature who are fighting in favor of Schools of Hope.
The LIBRE Initiative’s Coalitions Director, Cesar Grajales issued the following statement:
“We applaud the legislators who are standing up for the best interests of students across Florida by supporting Schools of Hope. With the approval of The Schools of Hope legislation, students would have a new lifeline to receiving a better quality education. We believe that when you empower students and their parents with increased options, our community is better equipped to reach the American Dream. A better education has the power to change the trajectory of a student’s life and build stronger communities across the Sunshine State. We hope the Florida legislature will quickly act to remove unnecessary barriers to opening more successful charter schools so that our students don’t have to remain stuck in schools that are failing to provide a quality education. When legislation encouraging the growth of school choice in our state reaches Governor Rick Scott’s desk, he should sign it immediately. We cannot allow Florida’s most at-risk students to continue slipping through the cracks.”
